Excellent product, communication and response time from the Wintrust team. We decided to start the re-fi process with both Wintrust and our existing bank/mortgage holder (one of the five largest banks in the U.S.) and Wintrust got us a better rate/terms and was significantly more engaged with us during the process. So, we moved our mortgage from our previous bank to Wintrust. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a mortgage.

Very capable and communicative throughout the process

I was very pleased overall. My only disappointment was that I had to ask about a rate including a point vs. being offered it as an option in the first place. My goal was to lower my monthly payments as much as possible, and while I'd rather not have paid a point, doing so enabled a better rate. That said, I would highly-recommend Wintrust Mortgage and Michael Conrath to anyone looking for a refinance. He and his colleague were responsive, thorough, and the entire process required minimum involvement from my end. I am grateful.
