I spoke with a few "salesmen/women" during the loan process that would promise you everything you wanted to hear only renege the rate and extras when you told them to move forward. Phil was always trying to do the best for you, but would be straight with you on what he could and couldnt do and explain why. Then he would tell you that he understands if you go with better offer from his competitor (which never panned out and Id limp back to Phil). Definitely shop around but if one of your guys is Phil, trust him. One of the good guys
