My experience with Southern Trust Mortgage has been extremely disappointing. Closing was scheduled, and at the last minute we were informed it would be delayed because the loan had only just been submitted to USDA. According to the loan officer’s own email, he admitted he should have anticipated the delay and communicated it sooner. This delay has caused a domino effect on other financial commitments that were scheduled around the closing. Delays can happen, but better planning and communication could have prevented a lot of unnecessary stress and expense.
